Our barrel hinge is a weld on, grease fitting & ball bearing, hinge manufactured by welding and machining. These hinges are designed for steel gates and other applications with high radial loads. The barrel hinge acts as a lift off hinge, in that the gate can be lifted off the post with out removing the pin. The black finish can be provide corrosion resistance.
Bearings consist of one round ball for the thrust bearing and sleeves for radial. Grease fittings come standard to allow preventative maintenance. These hinges are designed to be welded on between the post and gate.
